Showy gifts and glittering decoration, 

Lovely time and humble adoration, 

Meeting others needs above our own,  

Making sure nobody is left alone.

Finding a better way to live, 

Teaching us to cheerfully give, 

Christmas comes once in a year,  

Everybody rejoicing with good cheer.

Collecting lots of useless stuff, 

Even when we have more than enough, 

Instead of giving to those with less,  

It's pure love we must express.

Now we can talk about the Christmas baby, 

With everybody else, other times maybe, 

Let us be intentional when calling His name, 

Eat, love and never forget why He came.
