Crossroads

It was about that time in his life,
To stand firmly in the crossroads,
Make things right with his wife,
He had to fight all the strongholds.

He had to make a huge sacrifice,
Stand where he didn't understand,
His faith, he then had to exercise,
His seed welcomed him to fatherland.

He didn't make the right decision,
Tried to fulfil the promise by himself,
Multiplication came through division,
Had to let go of pleasure for oneself.

Sometimes you loose but still win,
Your blessings and curse coexist,
Find oneself where you've never been
Live for a purpose, rather than just exist.

Life will daily display lots of choices,
You need an instinct for the right one,
You'll keep hearing too many voices,
Listen to one, not voices everyone.

An Attitude of Gratitude

38 years the sick man set in solitude,
He saw his pain in unreal magnitude,
He just had to change his attitude,
Observe what he had with gratitude.

Sometimes you have to even crawl,
Immediately respond to that call,
Climb walls, be careful not to fall,
You have power to go through it all.

Arise, break every link of that chain,
Arise, stop anaesthetising your pain,
That sickness comes from your brain,
Free your mind to let that healing rain.

Pure joy will tranquillise your mind,
Leave the things that are behind,
Press towards where you're assigned
Your life with destiny will be aligned.

Rise, take up your bed and walk,
Open that door, there's a knock,
Build locally thinking globally, talk
There are million things you'll unlock.

An Attitude of Gratitude

Arrived from an Aeroplane

Mum where do babies come from?
They come from aeroplanes she said,
Do aeroplane stop to drop some?
I knew there was a lot to see ahead.

My head was always towards the sky,
I was wondering how it was possible,
How is it possible for babies to fly?
To me that was mission impossible.

Our parents didn't want to face it,
They made up stories as we grew,
Then they wouldn't sit down to admit,
Once the kids started to have a clue.

I'm getting ready for those questions,
If they gonna know the truth so be it,
I'll always offer them suggestions, Then it will be up to them to commit.

Stop telling your kids there is Santa,
I don't believe in a tradition of lies,
I might as well go and drink a Fanta,
Open your eyes, they'll be old and wise.

Push Through The Pain

My wife and I went to a birthing class,
To learn about what will happen last,
Learnt about the baby's exit strategy,
The moments that can move rapidly.

We all really need her to breathe,
Deep breaths that will split her teeth,
We all need a positive mindset,
For me to show her great kindness.

You're positioned for a great miracle,
You'll have enough for you to handle,
Get ready for your baby on the way,
You will learn to celebrate that day.

Start rejoicing this very hour,
This is going to double your power,
This is the time for multiplication,
This is the moment for a great nation.

In the midst of it all always have joy,
Think of the things you'll enjoy,
You have to squeeze that toothpaste,
Your own baby will then be your roommate.

Rooted Up

I've sunk so deep in that fertile soil,
Stem and leaves anointed with oil,
Pictures of memories frozen in time,
Take me to my roots one more time.

Strong people stand like a tree,
A tree's not just what people can see,
Water disappears unlike in the cup,
Every strong tree is rooted up.

Prove yourself to be a strong fortress,
That tree in the middle of the forest,
Your hand carries something special,
People will really love your potential.

Plant your cute self in that fertile soil,
Don't walk with friends that will spoil,
They will influence the way you think,
Stay where you can think and drink.

A growing tree becomes a centre stage,
And then turns to a meaningful page,
With love these roots will give you height,
Shine you so bright with the sunlight.

A Miracle Baby

I lay down by your mother's womb, You are the attention in the room,
We're having fun feeling your kicks,
Come out so you can try our clicks.

You'll be the most beautiful baby,
You'll make me and your mum happy,
You'll have life's clearer direction,
You and I will have strong connection.

When you speak things will shift,
You are the world's precious gift,
You will walk on earth with respect,
The world will be your stage to direct.

You will daily walk with confidence,
You'll be known amongst continents,
Your hands will be full of miracles,
Your words will be full of syllables.

You'll touch people's hearts,
You'll lead the world of creative arts,
Everywhere you go you'll be a blessing,
Above all words, love you'll be expressing.

There is a Reason

I grew up in S.A for a season,
I came to Ozzie for a reason,
I daily fulfil my mission,
I already had permission.

There is a reason why I daily sing,
I have something valuable to bring,
Sometimes in front of a shinny ring,
And people have a great wedding.

There's a reason why I write,
To give you light through the night,
It doesn't matter if you're black or white,
There's a thin line between wrong and right.

There's a reason why I dance,
I'm saying there's another chance,
Stop worrying about your finance,
You can go through every circumstance.

There is a Reason

Destiny

A child of destiny always wins,
A new life's journey always begins,
There's passion that keeps driving,
Everyday is a new day for thriving.

Destiny pulls you like a magnet,
Stronger than gravity on this planet,
The pulling makes you more wiser,
Then you'll need a wiser adviser.

Destiny is who you are becoming,
You daily live with a humming,
It keeps you out of bed in the morning.
You thrive while others are surviving.

Symbolism

The world is surrounded by symbols,
All meaningful, a sound like cymbals,
One of the common symbols is a flag,
Old ways of using a new hashtag.

It can be getting something from Ikea
Just to represent an abstract idea,
It might be that special song you sing
And then pull out that special ring.

Things to see when you look up high,
Inspiration drawn from the frozen sky,
Life's observations from that window,
The world free from rain has a rainbow.

The world is full of diverse statues,
Rich history and different values,
They each tell their own stories,
A milestone, a world with less worries.

A story you're telling in garden art,
A representation of your own heart,
A statement of what's inside you,
A story behind what you always do.

Familiar to Fantastic

Familiar comes from the word family,
People you're used to around you,
People you can giggle with happily,
Who are happy for the things you do.

Truth be told at times people change,
But you don't have to be affected,
You have to do foreign exchange,  Get what you need to stay connected.

The world relies on your specificity,
You have to aim for being fantastic,
A great leader requires elasticity,
Love life, laugh, be enthusiastic.

When life seems to be great,
Desire for more and be greater,
Each morning follow your fate,
From your dictionary remove later.

If you really want something, shout,
If you want to get somewhere, run,
People will get what you doubt about,
In the midst of it all always have fun.

To The Younger Me

Hello there it's been a little while,
It's so good to see you with a smile,
I thought l'd finally write to you,
And talk about what you used to do.

You saved money and bought a bike,
You disregarded your mum's dislike,
Seven years old brave, strong and smart,
Too young, stubborn and loved art.

Your walk was the art of a dance,
Your talk gave others a chance,
You once fell and nearly lost your eye,
Too brave you didn't even cry.

At some stage you didn't have shoes,
Sorry no food to eat was no news,
No soap to use, yet the best in class,
Swimming, then had a test to pass.

Hiding from fighting politicians,
Then became young poeticians,
Lost lots of your close family,
I love and will miss them eternally.

The pain you suffered, suffer no more
There's more than you ever needed before
You're now a man and you survived,
The world out there needs to be revived.

Go Global

This is the time to think bigger,
It's time to do things better,
To love that person in the mirror,
To write yourself a love letter.

You've been there all your life,
You know all your ups and downs,
I loved myself before I had a wife,
Be nice, nobody likes anyone who frowns.

You were created to go global,
Touch nations around the world,
Your ideas ought to be mobile,
Someone's life can be saved by each word.

Waving Flag

Freely wave that flag with lots of joy,
A symbol of moments frozen in time,
Shout the name of your country oi oi
Give me a beat I'll bust that rhyme.

Music will surely keep you on fire,
Shake you off and strike new grounds,
A good song will take you higher,
This world is surrounded by sounds,

A flag is a symbol of unity,
Summarised beliefs of a country,
Forming a strong community,
It carries messages from history.

Use What You Have

There once was a blind man,
He was sitting by the roadside
Begging, though it wasn't his plan,
Many pushed him one side.

Though he couldn't see, he talked,
Though he couldn't see, he spoke,
Though he couldn't see, he walked,
He used what he had not to be broke.

One day the Master came in town,
The blind man started to shout,
He was tired of sitting down,
He had faith to be healed no doubt.

The Master sent his oppressors,
He told them to get a blind man,
They thought they were successors,
But the Master had another plan.

Sometimes people will put you down,
But then they'll have to push you up,
They were his footstool for his crown,
He gained sight and kept his jump.

Rerouting

In life you have to keep moving,
There's no time to be screaming,
Endure any type of tight squeezing,
As long as you're still breathing.

Like skin you'll have self healing,
Listen to your heart, it is beating,
Commanding you to keep dreaming,
Brains are not overused by thinking.

Rerouting
Change direction each morning,
Life is not all about sleeping,
That's not how people make a living,
Wake up even though it's freezing.

Comfort zones are so deceiving,
Our extensions we must be releasing,
A small voice you should be hearing,
Teaching you to be strong and loving.

Be kind, care about everything,
Be cool and calm about your being,
Considering how others are feeling,
Never give up just keep on believing.

A Miracle in Her

25 weeks ago you were like a size of a Poppy seed,
Your mum and I patiently waited for you to grow,
And then you were like a size of a Sesame seed,
The fact that you were alive is all we needed to know.

Suddenly you were like a grain of rice, blueberry and raspberry,
You grew to the size of a grape, date, fig and a plum,
I imagined your room becoming an Art gallery,
Everywhere I went I always thought of you and your mum.

Then you were the size of a kiwi fruit, peach, pear and avocado,
3 weeks ago we witnessed via a scan a miracle of this new life,
Then you were a navel orange and a dragon fruit a miracle was my motto,
I'm daily so thankful that your mum is my gorgeous wife.

You then became a grape fruit, mango and a cantaloupe,
You grew so fast I couldn't believe my imaginary eyes,
Then you were an eggplant, papaya soon to be a squash a mystery card in an envelope.
Your growth and strength took us by surprise.

You are kicking strong about to turn to a honey dew then a watermelon,
We'll then meet your beautiful face,
You'll soon have us to rely on,
Just for you your mum and I have created an amazing space.

I

                               I
                         Can hear
                  A powerful sound
           Breaking that lonely ground
          Shaking  all the  atmospheres
     This troubled universe transformed
And the next generation catching up
Lions  roaring   from   troubled   skies                                And   children  running  to  their   homes
The  rain  again  kissed  the  ground
       We  all shall see  photosynthesis
        And learn from metamorphosis
             Spread meaningful words
                 Freely sing like birds
                     Roar like lions
                      Shine bright
                          Light.

                          Go
                Be the change
        This is now your chance
      Make an unforgettable history
In love there should be chemistry
        You are super awesome
         Love will give you some

Words Create Worlds

A wise man knows when to be silent,
He also knows when to make a speech,
To be silent even when he's vibrant,
Enjoying sea breeze and waves at the beach.

Spoken words create worlds,
We're all responsible for the worlds we create,
Nobody knows what the future holds,
We must be careful of what we generate.

There is power in your tongue,
It carries life and death,
Speak to the wild and young,
The capacity to save the world is their breath.

What we tell them will shape the next generation,
It will resonate through the years,
It will make or break frustration,
Now is the time to train their ears.

Speak life to someone each day, Don't just see them as they are but as they become,
Make them stay to hear what you'll say to prepare their way.
Always speak life 'cause the journey has begun.

Words Create Worlds

Mother's Love

Mother's love is like an island in life's ocean,
Outspoken, vast and wide knows my deepest emotion,
Tells me the distinction between right and wrong,
Hears my heart every time I write her a song,
Endless love that can't be compared,
Real love that needs to be shared,
Superwoman that carried me for 9 months in her womb.

Love that knows no boundaries,
Opened mind full of memories,
Values that I know come from you,
Encouraging love all comes from you.

Only For You

I'll cross the seas and touch the skies,
I'll always share all my lows and highs,
I'll leave everything I know just to be with you,
Without you it's pointless what I'll do,
You are the rose in my unplanted garden,
You bring ease when life is harden,
You bring light in my world,
My tongue is filled with a love word,
Come and give me a kiss,
That kiss I'll always miss.

Only For You

Musically Inclined

Higher and lower melodies,
Creating sweet memories,
Singing like those cute birds,
Full of joy and exciting words.

Sounds and silence in the right rhythms,
Time, periodicity or frequency being the system,
Timed movement through space,
Music moving at a right pace.

Softness and loudness being my dynamics,
Musicianship producing finest classics,
Turning everything into an intricate melody,
Harmonies turning to your remedy.

Concord becoming a song I own,
Unfailing musicality, you'll never feel alone,
Melodious and tuneful being my voice,
Coordination and balance being my choice.

Elucidation that brings a clear interpretation,
Information that will free every nation,
The intriguing journey has begun,
Now is the time to have lots of fun.

Silence and Passion

Come and break new grounds,
Come and release new sounds,
Come with a strum in a peaceful way,
Your peace is always full everyday.

You are a bright light in a dark place,
I'll run miles just to see your face,
You are an inspiration behind my song,
You make all things new, you make me strong.

You give me joy, you give me rest,
I feel best when I lie on your chest,
All my pain drowns in your love,
You fall fresh in my world like a dove.

All my worries you've made yours,
You open doors just to fight my wars,
In my lifetime I've seen none like you,
I'm constantly amazed by what you do.

I see your face covered with a big smile,
Let me dwell in your presence for a while,
Enjoy the sweetness of your presence,
Everywhere I go I feel your omnipresence.

The Way We Talk

Some people just talk so fast,
Some people just talk so slow,
We need them all to be in the cast,
To give us all an interesting show.

Life is too short you have to move fast,
Life is so fast so you better take it slow,
Those who are first will be last,
In the end you have to let my people go.

Let me tell you about the circles of life,
There once was a Lion called Simba,
He grew up with obstacles until he had a wife,
They daily lived under this lifetime timber.

Let's celebrate each other just the way we are,
You and I daily make changes in this world,
Each and everyone of you is a star,
That's why I'm giving you this spoken word.

Let us make some crazy noise up in here,
Release voices of everyone that is silent,
We have something that this world needs to hear,
That's why we are part of Africa's Got Talent.

Two Waves

Love is like two waves that flow together,
They hold on to each other forever,
The wind blows them in one direction,
They hold each other in one affection.

Love keeps these waves in motion,
Dancing in the midst of an ocean,
Flowing restlessly beneath the stars,
Remaining in cruise control like cars.

The wind is the oxygen they breathe,
Flowing together above and beneath,
Heat in their two hearts that saves,
Desiring the shore like two waves.

You can freely fall into my arms,
It's the best place that truly warms,
When the world is so cold I'll be there,
I'll be the air when you loose breath 'cause I really care.

I'll make you my gorgeous wife,
The wind will surround us with the circles of life,
We will cuddle and you'll lye on my chest,
Above all I'll make you my best.

Two Waves
