Care to Connect

There are lots of joys in travelling, 

There's a lot that is happening,

There are lots of places to be, 

And normally lots of faces to see. 

And then there's no network, 

This is the time for my framework, 

Some people travel to escape, 

But I travel to keep my life in shape. 

I want to look at a bigger picture, 

Quote my life like a scripture, 

Daily publishing new poetry,

My life looks like geometry. 

Writing is my devotion time, 

I like my piece with a bit of a rhyme, 

My words becomes my mirror, 

I write for my life to become clearer. 

No network means I can't publish, 

Few seconds this poem will finish, 

I daily live and write for the public, 

Yes! My country became a republic.

Strengthen Thy Brethren

When thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren, 

Show others the way to go to heaven, 

When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers, 

Become the strong pillar for others. 

Our joy should become an ice breaker, 

We're a work in progress in the hands of our Maker, 

Love others as much as you love yourself, 

Your love should be beyond oneself. 

A parable of the good Samaritan that was shared with the Lawyer, 

Reminds me of the love breathing on the church's foyer, 

The truth is you're wounded and your makeover covers your grief, 

Feed the hungry, visit the sick and administer to their relief. 

Every unselfish act of kindness and service increases your spirituality, 

Every person with immense joy has humanity, 

Your attitude changes the world's altitude, 

You being the best thing ever created is my certitude. 

My dream is eternally linked with yours, 

You and I can open all doors, 

Unleashing your dreams unleashes mine,

Stay motivated 'cause our dreams will always intertwine.

Searching for hidden treasures, 

Limitless with no measures, 

Searching for the inner soul, 

Driven by the constant goal. 

Looking for your inner self, 

Something bigger than yourself, 

Going away to know you more,  

Living by what's in your core. 

Changing people's lives for better, 

Living the life you'll remember, 

Doing what's right simply 'cause it's right, 

Becoming the light right through the night. 

Fighting against everything that's wrong, 

You have to live your life as a victory song, 

Make poverty, diseases and stress all fairytales in passing, 

Live an amazing life and dig deeper while laughing. 

Care for vulnerable people, 

Always keep your heart peaceful, 

Love more, be more and live more, 

Be kind, you have the whole world to explore.

Live each and everyday generously,  

Give everything, a smile memorably, 

Give all your strength ambitiously, 

Live to give to those in need desperately      .

Extend your hand to the vulnerable, 

Help even those not honourable,

Who daily live feeling miserable, 

Giving generously must be desirable. 

Extend your eyes to the end,

More than yourself, love a friend, 

A message of love you should send, 

You'll daily multiply what you spend. 

Your life is a book everybody's ready to read, 

In your core there's a valuable seed, 

Write more pages by increasing your speed, 

Always remember that everybody has a need. 

You have more to give away more, 

Your blessings will be more than before, 

It's actually not you who opened that door, 

There's someone who gave you what you asked for.

Life requires a higher purpose, 

We were created for all-purpose, 

It's vital to be driven by your vision, 

Purpose driven leads to provision. 

Build your life the way you want it, 

Whatever you do don't quit, 

Create a life that you've imagined, 

Never focus on what never happened, 

The future starts today not tomorrow, Great things continue in the morrow, 

Today is yesterday's future, 

Life is your private tutor. 

Your steps are for a high calling, 

Chaise your dreams even if it means crawling,

Treat strangers like your sisters and brothers.

Airport

As some would know travelling is tiring, 

From booking the flights and a car, 

Places you're aspiring to see 'cause they're admiring. 

Accommodation and travelling insurance as you're going far. 

Driving to the airport to find parking, 

Checking in the bags and getting boarding passes, 

It's clearly a long journey we're embarking, 

Going through security removing metals including glasses. 

Waiting at the boarding gates for hours, 

Uncomfortable take offs from the plane, 

Relying on the pilot to do the right thing, this will is not ours, 

Hoping that he will fly on the right lane. 

That annoying moment when you feel airsick, 

Knowing that when you land you'll start the whole process all over again, 

Travelling can really be epic, 

Hoping to arrive on the other side not really sure when. 

I'm writing this poem sitting on the boarding gate,

With a 5 hours wait in Perth to Johannesburg airport, 

Though the feeling of seeing my family and mates is great,

Pregnant with ideas and skills to export.

Across The Seas

Across the cities, wet and dry wood, 

I love these two countries but I can't stay in them both, 

For my dreams and passions I stood,  

I want people I love to be happy and I've done everything I could, 

My love has been here since the undergrowth. 

Staying for a month in Africa is somewhat fair, 

I've got my whole life there to claim, 

Should I bring all the things to wear, 

Or should I buy them over there? 

The style is really not the same. 

I can't stop thinking about it as I lay, 

Today I'm going to where the majority will be black, 

My Zulu won't struggle a day! 

Yet people think that should be the way, 

Everybody wants me to come back. 

I am telling this story with a sigh, 

I've always missed home hence, 

In the end it's the whole world and I, 

From my village it's less traveled by, 

I'm different 'cause I make the difference.

Across The Seas 

New Beginnings

For years I've been writing chapters in my life, 

But this year is a new beginning for a new book, 

Holding hands walking in faith with my wife, 

Listening to that small voice telling us where to look. 

I'm international with all my decisions, 

I think generational in each and every step I take, 

Today I'm ending my old job heading to new provisions,

I'm so excited I'm even writing about this decision I had to make. 

It's time to rise above and make old things new, 

My past experience working for the goodness of my future, 

Closing an old life is never easy but joy reminds you what you gonna do, 

Closing an old book of ordinariness and extraordinariness coming sooner. 

Guess what this year is yours too, 

It's time for a new exciting journey, 

God built and launched this year for you, 

Faces of a good person are many. 

You waited, you were patient, the time has come,

The world is waiting for you to live greater everyday,

Walk this journey with a dance as if there's always a drum,

It's time for you to start a new way and for you to stay.  

New Beginnings

The Picture is in the Puzzle

The answer is right in front of you, 

The miracle is in your hands, 

Fit in 2015 that's all you need to do, 

There'll be no other year like this even in your plans. 

Pieces of the puzzle look really small, 

Don't focus on the piece but the picture, 

None of them is much better then them all, 

Unity is the power says the scripture. 

You've wasted too many years searching in wrong places, 

Trying to find who you really are, 

You've described love by the world's changing faces, 

Forgetting that the Son set you free 'cause you're a star. 

You are above and not beneath, 

You are the head and not a tail, 

There's a better version of you underneath, 

Love for you was shown through each nail.  

Your life may not look like how it's going to be, 

Listen to me don't be discouraged, 

Well if you ask me, falling on your knees is the only key, 

When you get down I'll be there to encourage.

As I wake up this morning, 

In my heart keep burning, 

Show up every time I'm talking, 

Show me your face before dawning,

Become my strength before I wake, 

Be my inspiration for your world's sake, 

Be my foundation before the world shake, 

Be my morning alarm to keep this world awake.

Mess Moving to Message

The cure from the snake bite is made from the venom, 

What's killing you will be what's curing you, 

The antidote is made from the very poison of the venom, 

The flu vaccine is made from the flu to heal you. 

I see the mess moving to message, 

When somebody helped you, help others, 

Your ability to encourage will give somebody else the courage, 

I don't care where you're from you're my sister and we're brothers. 

It's time to transfer from being a patient to a physician, 

Healing people from what you've been through, 

We're all embarking on a serious mission,

Each and everyday we discover things we never knew. 

There are messy moments on the road to destiny, 

But you're called to the course 'cause you're connected to the crisis, 

You've learnt the schemes of the enemy, 

Offer your help to the world as the sun rises. 

Listen to people's problems and don't turn a blind eye, 

Understand what another person is facing, 

Have empathy, give ridiculous love until people ask you why, 

Look at your hands, what you're carrying is history in the making.

Live the life that will make you happy, 

Only you can choose to be unhappy, 

Life will sometimes knock you down,  

Get your head up before you drown. 

 

Life is a gift, receive it as it comes,

Just dance 'cause life is full of drums, 

Always live life to its fullest, 

To your heart your dreams must be nearest. 

Love all, pray for all and live for all, 

Help those who fall down and crawl, 

Reach your hand and help them get up again, 

You can't measure the level of their pain. 

Love the things that make you come alive, 

'Cause they're the ones that will make you thrive, 

Never forget those who love and support you, 

Those who believe in the things you do. 

Laugh out loud at everything,

Even those you weren't expecting, 

Laughter is the best medicine, 

Humor is infectious and genuine.
