Reserved Oil

As I was walking down the street,
Ten virgins had a bridegroom to meet,
Five were foolish and five were wise,
The foolish were in for a big surprise.

They took lamps but never took oil,
They knew the shops it was no toil, Faraway bridegroom, no jeep to beep
They became drowsy and fell asleep.

Then the cry rang out at midnight
It was time to shine bright each light,
All woke up and trimmed their lamps,
It wasn't like one of the fancy camps.

The foolish failed to use the capacity,
The wise virgins had inner tenacity,
They all had the same activity,
But some failed to plan for longevity.

The door was shut out of the blue,
Don't let the door shut on you,
There's a crack in the door you'll find,
Live each day with eternity in mind.
