Father why did you have to leave me now? 

You were the hope I needed in my life,

You could have taught me things you know,

But now all I am left with is a strife. 

My family is going to miss you, 

You bragged about your children's grades, 

Loving and warm is what you used to do,

All we will walk with now is our shades. 

You loved me regardless of what I did, 

You supported me in all that I chose, 

Your deepest, innermost feelings you hid,
