The Walls We've Built

Let's face it, they are right on our faces,
The segregation of our family members,
We all could be in different places,
The reason you're not speaking to each other, nobody remembers.

The Walls We've Built
They are blocking the outside vision,
We can't see the world in other people's views,
They are causing a constant division,
They are constantly limiting our right to choose.

The Walls We've Built
Brick by brick we created a strong wall that makes us weak,
We talk more to computers and cellphones and not to each other,
With technology we've hindered our ability to think and speak,
Put those gadgets away and talk to one another.

The Walls We've Built
This crazy depression we see, is from a lack of motivation,
Surround yourself with confident, courageous and happy individuals,
I hope that this poem will open up a new conversation,
Introspection, confessions and tracing the chord of this wall's  originals.
