The Universe

The voice came like thunder, 

Light shined dark places, 

The seas started to wonder, 

The dust showed new faces. 

The air smelled like fresh roses, 

Mountains became soft blankets,

Wind whispered as the sky closes, 

Bees flew as honey filled buckets. 

Lions started to rule the jungle, 

Birds were singing new songs,

Then the enemy came with a bungle, 

Everything became series of wrongs. 

They had to depart the garden, 

Brother killed another, 

Simplicity that needed no pardon, 

Father blamed the mother. 

Your mind will free your life, 

Protect it from all the lies, 

Let love triumphant not strife, 

Open your eyes and rise above the skies. 

The Universe

Don't Die in the Nest

The nest feels comfortable at first, 

Never sleep in your comfort zone, 

Raising the eaglet feels the worst, 

You won't get it 'till you've grown. 

At first the egg is protected, 

Until the environment is too small, 

The eaglet then feels rejected, 

Discipline, you can't have it all. 

The nest becomes uncomfortable,  The familiar becomes unfamiliar, 

Be careful not to be too comfortable, 

Never expect your path to be clearer. 

Protrusions move inward the nest, 

Things become uncomfortable, 

The environment knows you're best, 

You're not called to be comfortable. 

The eaglet is facing eviction,

Waiting for role models to show up, 

Full of ideas but nobody to listen, 

Grown ups refuses to grow up. 

You can not stay where you started,  

Something is calling and wowing you,    Don't dwell on those who departed . There's hunger for growth inside you.

Some of us are living the dream, 

Some of us still live in yesterday, 

These poems flow like a stream, 

Life giving each and everyday. 

Start now to live a better tomorrow, 

Don't wait 'til they gaze your horizon,   

You have amazing dreams to follow,  

You dream for a season and reason. 

Stop looking at what is ubiquitous, 

You're unique and extra special, 

Laugh if they say you're too serious,  

You were created to be especial. 

Living the dream makes you happy,  

Leaving your dreams is the opposite,  

Follow money you'll still be unhappy,  

Follow your heart for the opposite. 

Working hard or hardly working? 

Ultimately you have a life to enjoy, 

Your dreams are still burning, 

Follow your heart, you'll find joy.

We get shaped by our iniquities, 

Like pure gold we travel miles, 

We are rooted from our antiquities. 

We get tested to have testimonies, 

Get in the hard storms to survive, 

Eloquent speeches in ceremonies,

Pushed by winds to thrive. 

Hardship pushes us to the next level, 

We learn about what we don't like, 

Success causes us to revel, 

It's like learning to ride a bike. 

Our inner beings tell us to move, 

We learn to intact our inner lives, 

We owe it to ourselves to prove, 

We can shape whatever life gives. 

Our instincts causes us to increase, 

Our dreams starts to chase us, 

Desire to chase futile dreams cease, 

Dreams are meant to unite us.

The Lost Forest

He savoured hours of solitude, 

Unable to share the blame, 

Unwilling loner rejected multitude, 

Thinking that life is a game, 

Everyone will have a say, 

Voices will get in your head, 

Choices will pave your way, 

Everyone wants to be heard, 

Confused about his identity, 

Confused about his destiny, 

Nobody could question his integrity, 

Nobody could provide him melody, 

He found himself lost in a forest, 

Looking for an easy way out, 

In this jungle he felt the shortest, 

Taking every step with a doubt, 

Life is hard in the wilderness, 

You need instincts to increase, 

You owe yourself forgivenesses, 

You have your chains to release, 

Stop blaming yourself for who left, 

They came for a season and reason,
