Let's face it, life with a clear direction is boring, 

Excitement comes from mysteriously exploring.

Life is not full of difficulties but challenges, 

If you pay more attention you'll see vital messages, 

Life is not a destination but a journey, 

In case of trouble get yourself an attorney. 

Not every broken thing needs to be fixed, 

Sometimes your feelings will be mixed, 

Things won't go as planned, 

Stand where you don't understand.

The Chains are Broken

Round and around the chains went, 

Link by link they were hard to break, 

Away all the chains were sent, 

All of a sudden they started to shake. 

For years you've had chains around, 

Financial chains they couldn't move, 

All of a sudden they made the sound, Everybody saw, that was the point to prove. 

Relationships have never been easy, 

You've struggled to find peace, 

Things have never been breezy, 

People around you were hardly nice. 

It's time for you to be free, 

Everywhere you go there is hope, 

All your worries just flee, 

You were born to be awesome not just to cope. 

The Chains are Broken

Safe Haven

She ran away like a run away bride, Stood in front of the mirror and cried, 

She spent all her life as a house wife, She was hurt, ended up using a knife. 

Looked for a safe place to stay, 

She hardly had money to pay, 

She desperately looked for a job, 

Never looked for anyone to rob. 

She found a house, a friend and love, 

She was peaceful like a dove, 

With new love she never looked back, 

She never wanted love to lack. 

Life turned out to be the best, 

In this place she found rest, 

She found love in her new man, 

A better life, that was her plan. 

When the past haunted her again, 

She nearly lost her brain, 

With her new love she was protected, 

They were both really connected.

City2Sea

This year we decided to move more, 

To gain more strength like never before, dream more, be more, do more, adore, look for, explore, to be more than we could ever ask for. 

  

So we started running, riding bikes, swimming, walking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, jogging, joined the gym, joined 10km Run Melbourne and joined 15km City2Sea. 

The rain was dripping, pouring, birds twittering, sea gulls crying and boats horned in a distance. 

This all took place before we flew through City2Sea 15km run this morning. 13 thousand people joined and thousands outdistanced. 

We couldn't see dawn as we approached the sea. 

Too dark, too much traffic, too much rain, flooded train stations. 

Then the light shined through the trees, amazed by what we could see. 

Wrapped our morning with medals, amazing breakfast and squealing laughters. Great day! I must say.

In life you run your own race, sometimes you even choose your own pace. 

The more you push yourself, the more achieved unbelievable results one could see. 

From City2Sea, to see great results our forefathers never got a chance to see. 

Results of our beautiful infrastructural city. 

We can be what they couldn't to be. Success doesn't come knocking at the door, 

If we work hard enough their ceiling will become our floor.

Shortchanged Lives

I grew up in Africa shortchanged, 

Wealth exchanged by coins, 

Cows killed remained unchanged, 

"School fees for everyone that joins."

Unreturned investments from people,

Too much to give, ended up in deficit,

"Poor investments", businesspeople,  

Still giving when nothing is definite. 

Cars can be changed like shoes, 

Clothes can be changed like coins, 

Houses making headlines in the news, 

Kids showing kindness by collecting cans. 

Silence becomes a friend to the owed,

People fight for their return until they are tired, 

They give much and remain with a heavy load, 

Troubling inflation with people hardly hired. 

Real change begins with a good heart, 

That's the only place that really matters,

Change your heart, change your life if you're smart, 

Changed hearts = real people not actors. 

If life has made you bitter, 

If hurts have made you hard, 

Clean your heart and make it sweeter, 

A clean heart is your life's best guard. 

If you have been shortchanged, 

If you have invested more than you got back, 

If your storms remained unchanged, 

You're about to get more than you've ever invested back.

Beauty Saved the Beast

Once upon a time there was a girl called Lilly, 

She lived in a small town that she thought was silly, 

She looked for ways to run away and find more life and love,

The beast was cursed under the spell as he failed to love. 

Lily's father took a wrong turn that caused them to meet, 

Prince Billy was cursed 'cause his heart wasn't sweet, 

As petals fell from the rose, he had to learn to love again, 

A Princess who can love a beast can break his and her chain. 

One day the beast arrested one of the villagers for trespassing, 

His daughter Lilly offered her place as she was passing, 

The beast accepted with a promise she'll remain in the castle forever, 

Billy was a monster, Lilly was difficult and stubborn, hard to be together. 

That what they saw in each other at first, 

Even when you're cursed, that love in your heart will still thirst.

The two soon tasted the bitter-sweetness of learning their wrongs, 

The story of their love became their new songs. 

Lilly stood in a gap between the beast and her father, 

She changed her mind about him, what he was she didn't even bother, 

She discovered her captor to be an enchanted prince, 

Their love story was written ever since.

She walked in the room and sat down,

He was waiting for her with years of fears, 

She reached out her bag and gave him a crown, 

His face was covered in years of tears.

He kneeled down and admitted his wrongs, 

She just smiled and said, "I already know", 

He rose and his mind had thousand songs, 

He just witnessed grace and an opportunity to grow.

Mercy was sitting in the corner when he was lost, 

Love was sitting in the centre when he felt alone, 

Peace stood by the window and said, "this won't last", 

Joy stood by door and said, "wherever you go make me your own".

Whatever you're going through you're not by yourself,

Grace, love, peace and joy are by your side, 

Let them live in you not on a shelf, 

You're safe, so sit down, relax and enjoy the ride.
