A Wise Old Owl

A wise old owl sat in an oak,
The branches he never broke,
The more he heard the less he spoke,
The less he spoke he heard more no joke.

If only people were like that old bird,
Didn't speak until they've really heard,
Their comments wouldn't be blurred,
There would be value in each word.

The world's sharp ear has now faded,
Philosophical minds are now shaded,
People in our days need to be aided,
The liquidity of thoughts needs to be upgraded.

People in the past never used apps,
They knew directions with no maps,
No smartphones, tablets or even taps,
No policies or premiums that will lapse.

They could count with no calculator,
They never got locked in an elevator,
They knew and even met the Creator,
Their lives were lived even greater.

A Wise Old Owl
