Girls mostly play with dolls and learn how to cook from an early young age,
When they grow up they are ready to face each and every stage,
Boys get no lesson to be fathers when they are young,
When they become dads they have to know parent's songs they never sung.

When my 2 year old plays with her dolls you can already tell she'll be a great mum,
She's getting ready to face the challenges of raising the baby as they come,
She can already feed the baby and change her when she needs a nappy,
She does it proudly you can tell it makes her happy.

Who is teaching boys their roles and to be good fathers?
They are expected to be awesome dads, but who is sharpening them, giving them a chance to shine like mothers?
They say any fool can make a baby but it takes a real man to be a father,
Are we being too hard on dads? How can they be perfect parents without having a practiced daughter?

This piece is inspired by situations I see all the times of missing fathers,
My father was an awesome man he taught me how to be a great father,
But the reality is not everyone has the same opportunity,
How can we help men learn from an early young age so that they can make a great contribution in their community?
