Sunday Morning

In the gentle light of Sunday morn,
A tranquil day begins to dawn,
The world awakes with a softened hue,
A canvas of dreams, old and new.

The birds take flight with joyful song,
Their melodies, a gift lifelong,
Nature's symphony, a sweet refrain,
Filling hearts with peace, free from pain.

A lazy breeze whispers through the trees,
Caressing cheeks with a gentle ease,
Time slows down in this moment's grace,
A sacred pause in life's wild race.

Cherished memories come alive,
As sunbeams dance and shadows strive,
Familiar faces and stories dear,
Reminding us of why we're here.

Embrace the calm, let worries wane,
Release the stresses and the strain,
For on this blessed Sunday morn,
We find solace and are reborn.

In the stillness, hearts align,
With love and joy, our spirits shine,
As the day unfolds, we'll find our way,
Guided by the light of Sunday's ray.

Hello Saturday

On Saturday morning, as sunbeams stream,
Our family gathers, like a cherished dream.

With laughter's echoes, the day begins,

Love's melody, where each heart wins.

Around the table, hands entwine,

Bound by love that we refine.

Breakfast spread with care and grace,

Smiles exchanged, we find our place.

Through gentle talks and warm embraces,

Time slows down, no hurried paces.

In each other's eyes, we see,

The strength of love, eternally.

Together we explore the day,

Adventures calling us to play.

Hand in hand, we roam and roam,

Creating memories to call our own.

A picnic in the park's embrace,

Amidst nature's charm, we find solace.

With joyous hearts, we run and glide,

In love's embrace, we feel alive.

As evening hues begin to bloom,

Underneath the twilight's gloom,

We gather 'round, with hearts aglow,

A family bond that continues to grow.

Saturday's embrace, a gift from above,

A treasure trove of family love.

Through all the years, we'll stand strong,

For on Saturdays, our love belongs.

Music Is My Home

In the rhythm of life, a nomad I roam,

From South Africa's plains to Australia's foam.

Every step I take, a melody unfolds,

For music is my home, wherever I'm told.

In the heart of Durban, where vibrant beats thrive,

Under African skies, my soul comes alive.

Drums and marimbas blend with joyful song,

Uniting a nation, where belonging belongs.

Through golden savannahs and wild terrain,

I carry the tunes of my native domain.

As I journey afar to lands unknown,

Music is my compass, my true North, my own.

To Australia's shores, where the oceans kiss,

A new chapter unfolds, another bliss.

I hear the didgeridoo's haunting call,

Echoes of ancient stories enthral.

In the Outback's vastness, my heart finds peace,

Through songlines and dreams, my spirit release.

From desert to city, my voice finds its sway,

Music is my refuge, wherever I lay.

Through cultures entwined, I embrace the change,

The beauty of diversity, ever so strange.

Harmonies blend, bridging gaps wide and far,

A universal language, like twinkling stars.

Through distance and time, my heart does roam,

But music remains my constant, my home.

Anywhere I go, anywhere I live,

In melodies and lyrics, my soul will give.

Fascinated by Words

In ink's embrace, my soul takes flight,
A dance of words, both day and night.

On parchment's canvas, dreams unfold,

A tapestry of stories, bold.

With every stroke, emotions sway,

In worlds of ink, I find my way.

Through prose and verse, my heart alights,

A symphony of thoughts takes flight.

In writing's realm, I'm never bound,

Unfettered, thoughts and feelings found.

Expression's magic, pure and true,

A window to the world's grand view.

It's in the lines, I meet my voice,

A refuge in life's noisy noise.

With pen in hand, I'm free to soar,

And share the tales worth living for.

Through joys and woes, the words connect,

Across the pages, hearts reflect.

For in this craft, I find my home,

In writing's arms, I'll never roam.

Welcome Back

In a world of rhythm and melody so sweet,

Where music's magic and wonders meet,

Welcome back, dear students, to term three,

A journey of harmony, let your spirits be free.

Through notes and chords, we shall embark,

On a symphonic journey, leaving our mark,

Together we'll learn, explore and create,

Unveiling the secrets of music's great tapestry.

With each beat and lyric, a story unfolds,

Emotions and dreams, our melodies hold,

Let your voices soar, instruments in tune,

As we dance to the rhythm, under the moon.

From classical sonatas to modern-day hits,

We'll delve into genres, discovering their bits,

With passion and practice, we'll strive for the best,

Unlocking the wonders that music can manifest.

So let the melodies flow, and harmonies blend,

In this musical journey, may our souls transcend,

Brighten the world with your musical voice,

As we make beautiful music, let our hearts rejoice.

Welcome back, dear students, to term three's embrace,

Let's embrace the rhythm, in this magical space,

With dedication and joy, we'll learn and we'll grow,

Together we'll create melodies that forever glow.

I'm Finally Blogging Again

In the whirlwind of life's grand pursuits,

Blogging's flame lay dormant, yet not reduced.

Time consumed by family's warm embrace,

Entrepreneurial ventures took their place.

Books were written, stories untold,

Notes composed, melodies unfold.

A symphony of passions did ignite,

Yet the blog's essence still burned bright.

Now, with renewed vigour, I return to the stage,

To share my thoughts, to unleash my sage.

Through words, I'll paint the colours of my soul,

Resuming the journey, fulfilling my role.

Though busy days may stretch afar,

I'll carve a moment, like a twinkling star.

With each keystroke, my voice will rise,

A symphony of words, a soul's reprise.

From family's love to ventures bold,

To the melodies that my heart holds,

Each thread weaves into the tapestry,

A blog reborn, a soul set free.

Work Party 2017

Here we are at the precipice of the year,
It has been a great year indeed,
We are celebrating a great year with good cheer,
Our friends, colleagues and families are here, it’s all that we need.

This place has the most spectacular view,
The rooms are all top class,
Around here there are plenty of things to do,
The vineyard looks amazing through the window glass.

The bed provides the most desirable comfort one could ask for,
The rooms are great size you can dance waltz with no trouble,
You can feel the sense of a holiday before you even reach the cellar door,
The rooms can accomodate the couples but the beds are more than double.

The food is amazing, the warmth amongst the staff,
This place is awesome, the warmth can also be found in the spa,
This is a place where you have no choice but to love and have a great laugh,
A place where you find yourself singing let’s go dancing ooh, la, la, la.

Basically our work party was the best work party I’ve ever had,
Harcourts Boronia go all out to make employees feel extra special,
My wife also had a great time I must add.
For every employee to feel special in a workplace, it's essential.

What did I do right?

This is a question I ask myself day and night,
It all started by simply taking that flight,
I was suppose to be unavailable,
Setbacks in life made me available.

She is more than perfect for me,
That’s why I went down on one knee,
So that when she said yes I’d quickly get up and hold her,
They were definitely right when they said favour ain’t fair.

Beautiful, gorgeous, attractive and pretty are inadequate,
For her I need new words with extra weight,
Flowers are beautiful but she’s way better than a flower,
The look in her face carries more power.

Between myself and the pen, my heart can be laid on the table,
My words only come out because my lungs and my voice are able,
I can’t shake the idea that we need new words,
We need new songs, new language or just to sing like birds.

My wife makes my life honey that can only be heavenly manufactured,
She came into my life and made sure my heart was remanufactured,
She takes care of me and she’s given me 2 beautiful daughters,
They are best friends, close in age and lookalike sisters.

What did I do right?
