Transformation

When I conformed to this world,

When both of my feet were whirled, 

I accepted less than I deserved, 

My vision overshadowed what I observed. 

Everything was simply just fine, 

I didn't receive what was mine, 

I walked life's journey shortchanged, 

My circumstances were unchanged, 

When your life starts to foreshadow, 

The shining light casts a shadow, 

People start to look at you funny, 

Just when your world gets sunny. 

It wasn't up until I cared less, 

Everyone is in some sort of a mess, 

It's a miracle, eyes have not seen, 

Some people work hard just to stay clean. 

I changed my mind and my life,  

I claimed what's mine and my wife, 

I'm attacked for my strong core, 

I'm dearly loved and I deserve more.

An Opportunity

I have something to say, 

I have stories to tell,

Before you, I have poetry to lay, 

This is my place to dwell,  

Don't cease me this opportunity, 

To store my stories in history, 

To bring unity in this community, 

A solution in every mystery. 

Don't cease me this opportunity, 

Let my poetry motivate various artists, 

Let me be the catalyst of common unity, 

Let my words rescue them when times are the hardest. 

If the world miss this there'll be poetry half recited, 

There'll be melodies half sung, 

This poetry will keep communities united, 

There'll be desire like that poet who's still young. 

Some people still have their canvases half painted, 

Some have greatest stories that are untold,

These words will create their worlds and canvases will be repainted, 

This is my story and their story only just half told.

Plugged In

Power comes from a certain source, 

It comes with a specific course, 

It does not matter where you've been, 

Just as long as you are plugged in. 

Lights just need to be connected, 

To shine brightly as expected, 

To have greatness out of your skin, 

Just as long as you are plugged in. 

Everybody needs ignition,  

To wisely complete their mission, 

Let love be your daily twin, 

Just as long as you are plugged in. 

It's time to subdue or conquer, 

It's time for your soul to anchor, 

It's surely time for you to win, 

Just as long as you are plugged in. 

Freedom is the New Black

Welcome to the brand new world, 

Where any colour can have a word,

This is the time for a new normal,

The old normal is now abnormal. 

You can stand in front of the crowd, 

Shout and raise your voice very loud, 

Invest in various people's lives, 

Where it's only passion that drives. 

Some fought for this freedom, 

They carried amazing wisdom, 

I have a dream type of passion, 

Never and never again type of action. 

I've seen the true story of animal farm

Men in power doing major harm, 

Misusing all the man-made systems,

Colonising all devalued victims. 

In our days freedom is the new black, 

A setback is now the come back, 

You'll love me, I'll love you freely, 

Perfect peace is from freedom really.

Last Summer

Last Summer you passed me by,        Last Summer you caught my eye,          You kept me up day and night,     Suddenly all my days were filled with light. 
                                 
What an amazing woman I thought,  My soul you touched and your eye I caught, 

With you nothing will ever stand on my way,                                                     

That day I met you, was the best day. 

The way we held hands is still stuck in my mind, 

Great ways to bring a smile, you always find,
Together we gave away great things, 

Happiness and joy you daily bring.

Just to make you smile, I won't miss a thing,

As I woke up this morning

Which only operated for nine months, 

It was closed when I was born

Thanks God I'm the firstborn

A Young Fisherman

There was a young fisherman, 

He was a struggling businessman, 

He couldn't live on his net income, 

Nor make his personal income, 

He had to come up with another plan.

Get Over It

One thing that stops you from going forward, 

Is simply because you keep looking backwards,

This world is your centre stage, 

Make sure that you open every page, 

That thing that happened ages ago, 

Now is the time to let it go. 

You're not in this world forever, 

Whatever they did, you can surely do much better, 

I know it's hard but you need to forgive yourself, 

Forgiving like unto the earth herself, 

Will this matter a year from now? 

Just let it go don't ask how! 

You're focusing on the problem and the pain, 

Thinking about it, locks your brain with a chain.

The lioness lied down before the sun, 

She looked for the prey to keep,

When she saw one she started to run, 

She easily gets them as they sleep, 

Lioness pounces, to get the job done, 

Fiercely, she has no time to weep, 

Using every chance during the day,  

The lioness never becomes prey.

August is a Special Month

Ask why this is a very special month, 

Until you understand why men hunt, 

God will show you a human's mind, 

Unveil why your life is intertwined, 

Something deep is about to happen, 

Tangible, wild, invisible just imagine. 

Improvise, be free in your thinking,

Step up before the boat is sinking, 

Adapt and shape new environments. 

Speak the truth that is invested in you

Put others before you in what you do, 

Establish user friendly environments,

Clearly sweep the path to retirements

Identify certain areas of improvement,

Analyse, guide intentional movement, 

Listen and love people around you. 

My mom gave birth to me today, 

Overall a miracle can start in one day, 

Now it's South Africa's women's month 

Telling stories of their steep ascent, 

Heart to heart hear me when I say,

August is a Special Month 

Misplaced Rage

You've pushed away so many people, 

You've stopped attending a steeple, 

Praising people are challenging you, 

Slow down, do what you have to do.

Look around, the world is your class, 

Hands on the air and feet on the gas, 

Take it easy, you're going too fast,

Don't wreck your future, run from your past. 

This crazy rage is messing with your brain, 

Angry at people who remind you of the pain, 

You now have compound bitterness,  

Your outwardness destroys your 

inwardness. 

You need to forgive your enemies,  

Wipe away those sad memories, 

You then need to forgive yourself, 

It's time to empty that rage shelf.  

Your past is not important as your future,

All it can be is your best teacher, 

Anger towards wrong people will keep you in a cage, 

In the story of your life it will destroy every page.

Troubled by Talents is what I know,

Hindered by your gifts as you grow, 

Using my gifts, gives me a better day,

Use your gifts 'till you're old and grey, 

Don't force or break it, let it flow, 

If people are impatient, let them go, 

It takes many years to become a pro, 

Be patient, do things the right way.

People can give you a hard choice and demand your talents to throw, 

Tell them to wait until you put up a show, 

Your passion will demand them to stay, 

After that they'll have a whole lot to say,
