New Years Eve

As my eyes firmly gaze the twilight, 

My heart yet yearned for another year, 

My former year was under the spotlight, 

Things started to be more clear.  

NYE can really get in your face, 

Confronting your own resolutions, 

What I know is I'm only here by grace, 

My year was covered by solutions.  

2014 was the best year for me, 

Now that today is the last day,

My dreams were set free, 

Even the ones I never knew I had I must say. 

Two famous questions left for you to ask, 

What have you done and what will you do? 

Be honest with yourself don't wear a mask, 

If you haven't got a clue think of something new. 

Think of the life of a lion king,

Sitting inside its majestic skin, 

After all is said and done just sing, 

It's time to be in places you've never been.

I love how you can take my pain and use it for power

Whatever you have, you always exceed your greatness

I'm just so grateful that, even in the middle of my trial you tell me to fear not
I'm so grateful that, even in the middle of my trial you manage to put me at ease 
Saul was on his way to kill everybody who believed in Jesus but ran into him
The misery he brought to church was ridiculous and unveiled 
God uses you to heal people that you use to hurt
You don't have to die to be transformed 
Often you get direction from rejection
I love the Lord, and I will always worship him

You don't have to perfom for me to worship you 
You don't have to impress me, you don't have to do anything 
Forever I will worship you Lord

And start a new one with God as the head

One Thing

There's one thing that I desire,  

It has to do with your heart, 

You have to feel great from the start, 

I want to see you going higher and higher. 

I strongly believe in humanity, 

There's a reason for our creation, 

Changed minds change the nation,

This world has lost clear direction, 

People don't know where to go, 

Going everywhere but no where struggling to grow, 

Loosing the signal and vital connection.

Boxing Day

As I looked upon the Christmas tree, 

There were no more presents for us to see, 

What a great day we had yesterday, 

Lots of presents to receive and to give away. 

Here we are on Boxing Day, 

With lots of things to say, 

Regretting stomaches no longer flat,

It's much easier to just lie on a mat.  

Today is a great day to rest, 

Run in Rye if there's still zest, 

With family I've had great fun, Astounding excitement from everyone. 

Get outside with friends and play, 

Delete that sugar in you on a holiday, 

Get in your swimming gear and jump in the pool, 

Always remember that you always look cool. 

Boxing Day 

Merry Christmas

Well in Australia it's finally Christmas Day, 

I guess everybody knows the poem for today, 

We'll continue to happily sing, 

With wrapped up presents to bring.

 

Yesterday we watched Carols by Candlelight, 

Sang Christmas carols all through the night, 

Sharing memories that we recall, 

Christmas is the best time of the year for us all. 

What's Christmas without Joy to the world, 

Loudly singing, around the microphone fingers curled, 

Reminiscing about that Silent night, 

Writing down our past and present that made it right. 

What's Christmas without the French word Noel, 

Christmas or birth from Latin or No "L" the comedians will excel, 

Dancing and shouting Jingle Bells, 

Jumping and rejoicing everybody yells. 

It's time for you to celebrate this year, 

Good or bad let me make that clear, 

The fact that you're still alive is a miracle, 

Just make every moment lyrical.

The Day Before Christmas

Here we are covered in Christmas decorations, 

This excitement has reached different generations, 

Christmas spirit is all over the nations, 

People making new declarations. 

The joy of Christmas is not just on Christmas Day, 

Infact that's when it's about to go away, 

Just when children started to play, 

And believers started to pray. 

I reminisce the times we sang Christmas songs, 

Christmas drama my heart prolongs, 

Christmas Production where everybody belongs, 

Then a great relaxation at the beach wearing thongs. 

Inviting people to church was awesome, 

A flower in my garden started to blossom, 

My roof made noise there jumped a possum, 

Your two Christmas trees and their two had a foursome. 

Christmas spirit has long began and near to an end, 

Christmas baby is here, hug and kiss a friend, 

Lots of gifts and my neighbour's giant Santa at the door is a way to spend,

Let's love, laugh and sing Christmas carols together as we blend.

Sailing Your Ship

It was a happy shimmering morning, 

The sea was sealed with infinite hope, 

Pictures on the wall were all adorning, 

Moving smoothly with rich thoughts in an envelope. 

The wind suddenly started blowing, 

Birds flew away under morning clouds, 

This ship was definitely not oceangoing, 

But it was designed to carry the crowds. 

This life will require you to navigate your way, 

Sailing your ship in the midst of the storms, 

Carrying your loved ones in this ship everyday, 

Protecting them from scary thunderstorms. 

 

Hard work will keep the ship moving, 

The flower will grow from this sky shower, 

Leaving trail of dust behind and daily improving, 

Releasing liquid laughter from this flower.

Ship of thoughts deep freighted with truth and beauty, 

Avoiding small leaks to sink your ship, 

Giving it all fulfilling every designated duty, 

Living to outlive those whoever once took this trip. 

Stars will always shine brighter than passing ships, 

Thunder will always make the heart pound, 

You were made to sail your ship not to be stuck in a safe place, 

To hold your loved ones hands in that nightly sound.

My Father's Birthday

Three more sleeps to go, 

Before we all even know, 

Balloons in the air we'll throw,

Celebrating what happened many moons ago. 

My grandmother became like Marry, 

Faith and love she'll always carry, 

Always brave when life is scary, 

Always firm when things vary. 

My mother was part of the new story, 

Married a man covered with glory,

Who didn't have much not even a lorry, 

Who didn't even own a double story. 

Trouble begins when people love you for material things, 

All you need is love that will give you springs, 

Make you fly away without wings, 

While you're worshiping the King of kings. 

My father will always be my hero, 

I miss him when my head's against the pillow,

He survived when the temperature was zero,

When vicissitudes of life came like billow. 

My Father's birthday brings so many memories, 

Filed in so many diverse documentaries,

He came to give us heavenly treasuries, 

A story that will be told for so many centuries.

Watch a comedy show, 

Just let the small stuff go.

Watch the cartoons play, 

Laugh so loud as you pray, 

Don't worry about what they took, 

Look, go and read that silly book. 

Never waste your precious days, 

By letting stuff get into you in any ways, 

When situations try to pull you down, 

Push more and think of that long gown and crown. 

Joy is indeed contagious,  

Spend time with people who are courageous,
